There are literally thousands of books about the Finite Element Method out there. Some readers may be more interested in the overall theory of FEM, others express interest in the more practical aspects of FEM. Hence it is difficult (and to some degree unfair as well) to recommend a single text book.

 The book ”Practical Finite Element Analysis” (by N.S. Gokhale, S.S. Deshpande, S.V. Bedekar, and Dr. A.N. Thite) also represents a great source of  information.
