Engineering students who participate in Formula SAE (FSAE) gain invaluable experience in project management, teamwork, communication, design and manufacturing processes. Altair Engineering believes that these building blocks are essential tools for not only the students participating but also for the global engineering community. With this in mind, Altair has been a proud sponsor of the FSAE competition for more than 10 years. Our sponsorship includes the donation of our award-winning design software, Altair® HyperWorks®, as well as financial rewards that recognize innovative design contributions to FSAE racing.

Hello,
I am currently an engineering student at UBC in Vancouver, Canada and part of the Fomula SAE UBC team. I was wondering if myself and some of my team mates are able to get students copies of your software and if so how we go about downloading it? Thank-you for your help.

Dear Daniel Rae,
Thanks a lot for your interest in HyperWorks.
I’ve forwared your request to my colleagues in Canada.
Did you already start using HyperWorks (you may have seen the simple video series about the Student Race Car which is available in the Academic Blog)
Best regards
Matthias Goelke
