Regardless whether you’re an experienced HyperWorks user already or a novice one – there is always the quest (ideally) to learn more about new technologies. Unfortunately, we’re always short in time! Always and everywhere. This is because we’re educated to permanently increase the pace of our work (and lifes).
Hence, learning new techniques/technnologies must be as easy as possible. Otherwise, things will be put on hold.
Our learning material at a glance:
If you wish to be more guided through the initial learning phase our Syllabus (lesson plan) may help you. We designed a lesson plan which focuses on practical aspects of a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with HyperWorks (by means of a compilation of interactive videos and tutorials).
Naturally, all the training material can be accessed indivudually:
- The full HyperWorks HTML documentation (part of your installation) provides a thorough, searchable resource to find detailed information about HyperWorks, including an extensive set of tutorials.
- The 3D Simplified FEM Process Guide . The process guide is the ideal solution for absolute FEM beginners. Highly automated, the process leads through the typical FEM working steps. Only a minimum of user interaction is required.
- The HyperWorks StarterKit Videos. A collection of interactive training videos (with audio) covering the most essentials about interacting with the graphical user interface, basics of geometry cleanup, introduction in 2D meshing, analysis, debugging, topology optimization, and postprocessing. The videos cover more than 4 h of recorded training.

File name: HyperWorks_StarterKit_June.zip; 184 MB; unzip with the option: extract to … This will create 1 folder containing the corresponding SWF files; outside of this folder resides a htm file named: StarterKit_Series_Contents_June.htm. To get started, just click the StarterKit_Series_Contents_June.htm
- HyperWorks StarterKit Manual (a written summary of the most important things around the GUI, geometry, 2D meshing, analysis set up and postprocessing)
- Academic Training Blog
- Tutorials
- E-Learning:
- free recorded Webinars
- Videos (by Altair & from our customers)
- CAE Projects
- Tips & Tricks
- Highly discounted seminars at Altair and at your campus
And keep in mind – if “things” don’t work properly, please contact your local Altair University Team.
