Hi Sir,
I am a student of Tennessee Tech, I got an approval for downloading & installing student edition Hyperworks 11.0 from Altair.But when I tried to install the software its showing an error “installer cannot run in this UI”, I dont know how to use command-in-line option to change user interface. I am using windows 8 with 64-bit operating system & x64-based processor..
Kindly guide me in resolving this issue.

I am sorry for the bad news, however, Windows 8 is currently not supported. Do you see any chance to install the Student EDition on a different OS?
If so, please reapply for a new license. This time use the redepmtion code Free_EDU_Extra

Currently, the Student Edition is only available for Windows (32 bit).
I see two options:
Partition your drive and run a Windows installation in parallel on your MAC, or
request a regular version of HyperWorks (which runs on MAC).
If you are interested in the latter, we need more information about you and your university. Please send this information to altairuniversity@altair.com

You need to contact N.S. Gokale directly. As far as I know the book can’t bve ordered in a book store.
In coorporation with N. Gokale and his team we created a modified version which is available as a PDF document.
I’ll send you a link to your personalized version (free) of this organic book

Are you using the Student Edition or the “regular” version of HyperMesh.
Please note, the Ansys UserProfile (=interface) is not available in the Student Edition.
In case you are using the regular version, please have a look at the corresponding Ansys tutorials which are part of your installation (check help menu–>Tutorials ….)

Can you please send me the models used in training (model used in Hyper mesh – model.hm)
& other models of the tutorial?
The ready to use models available in the current site is good, but to learn better I need the same models used in the tutorial.
If you can send them or upload them in ready to use model library it will be very very helpfull to me & many others like me

Hi
I am a student studying for a Masters in Structural Engineering, I have been given a problem to solve in Hyperstudy which consists of two beams crossed at right angles to each other, with a point load and a load on one beam at quarter spans. I have derived the equation for deflection and the stress equation however I do not know where to start inputting inrmation into hyperstudy. Ihave been given contraints etc by my lecturer. can you help?

What is the objective of your study? Do you intend to solve your equations with e.g. HyperMath OR do you intend to building a FEM model and compare the FEM results with your analytical values?
